GoldenShade is a newly formed charity, based in Sierra Leone but its headquarters are in the Netherlands. In February 2019 it was founded by Fareda Johnson, a student in the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Program. She is a person with albinism and was inspired to start a charity after she finished a school project that focussed on helping children with albinism in Sierra Leone.
Ever since, she has made it her mission to grow Golden Shade into a qualified organisation. One that not only provides skin care products for children with albinism, but the education, awareness and support that those children need to to live a healthy, successful life.
In order to do this, she works with a series of dedicated professionals such as other skin care organisations and doctors.
